Attack on the Pass

Drausus, accompanied by four triads of Aznar Tech employees, directed the group to a clearing out in the forest of Ana. None of their faces held a gleam of joy during the march. Delays in organization, outcries by Encampment residents over the fluctuating magical conundrum-even worse than the Insane weather phenomena that the people adapted to over time. No, this must be done now, before it escalated any farther. Close to a year of preparations undertook for this expedition: to cleanse the Pass of this Madness.

“Xanti, are you certain the defenses were properly tested?”

“... After that freak storm of pineapples last Tuesday which somehow broke through the hull. Yes, we invested our most advanced shielding to protect the vessel.”

The Jentil still felt weary being figuratively cornered into his position in the company. Word of one's achievements linger in the minds of those he helped, and this drew the attention of many seeking such assistance. Drausus never disclosed all of his secrets to make certain their goals lined up how they presented themselves. Such as Vitrum flexile supplies and crafting techniques, along with some knowledge of Distortion he eventually relented after examining thoroughly. Despite setbacks to the current endeavor, Aznar Tech adapted rather easily in general to the new information.

Yet reserves towards individuals remained throughout his involvement. Most of the upperstaff were rather reluctant to adding someone past so many of their pre-established clearances. Xanti himself concealed a weary glance quite well for a human. Not something Drausus expected a mechanic to prove so reserved in manner. In fact, apart from most new and low level workers, nearly all of the experienced employees possessed a sturdy mind. It surprised him to be honest. That many humans neatly arranged into one group, who in terms of Pax's history, recently began to assist the world.

Likely due the policy written by the founder. While Drausus never met the man in person, only his closest assistants, knew that something odd-

“We're here.”

Miffed moreso at the distraction to his train of thought rather than Xanti interjecting what planned to be his announcement, the Jentil decided to remain silent. After all, most of the recruited folk from town and around would be astonished at what appeared to be a 'futuristic blimp' unveil itself into sight upon their arrival.

“... Don't be fooled by this airship. The Suessetani, as a few might have figured out, is one of Aznar Tech's finest works to be launched by our company.”

While the outspoken man explained-perhaps not in the best of tones-of the vessel's layout, it continued to shimmer in the background. Those keenly aware of details might pick up the translucent trees around the edges of the vast balloon. Much of the forested section was cleared months prior to make room for the massive airship, yet some of the tall trunks they failed to fell seemed to phase through instead of poking at the smooth sides. Whether magical or a scientific attributing to this, Xanti never bothered to explain the mechanics of such trick. The crimson styled zeppelin nevertheless stood proud of mighty feats in front of its group. Her dark-grey gonadal, nearly 'watching' all around with the multitude of glass panels, awaited patiently for the official voyage to the moon.

Syllak appeared in the crowd, fully geared up in her platemail armour with the spikes on the tail, though she held her helmet under her arm for the time being. The Draconian had been one of the first to volunteer for going up on this trip to Drausus due to the terrible effects it had had on her werewolf friend. The Draconian stepped forward fully intending to go and help out as best as she possibly could, nodding to the Distortionist as she moved nearby. "It's about time" she said.

Grog stood there in line shifting uncomfortably in his suit he had been given. It had been especially designed for him, but he still didn't like how it restricted his movement. But the Nice man Tom said Grog would get a big treat if he went along to help these people, so Grog would do what was necessary to get the treat.

The Jentil surveyed the group that joined thus far. Difficult to discern if disappointed, or if Drausus quietly spotted a few others sneaking in at the last second. "... Ready all? It won't be too long to reach the Pass... Though still be on guard while on the sip," the Distortionist warned in advance. Whatever that laid on the moon might become weary at entire fleet arriving all at once. Nonetheless, he felt fairly confident they will reach the surface safely as the Jentil began to start the engines at the helm.

"Ready" Syllak said, nodding at the Jentil before the draconian boarded the airship, She trusted them to at least get all of the volunteers up to the troublesome moon safely.

"Grog ready." the Big man in the ill fitting space suit said before following Syllak. He had seen dragon lady at the Inn, and he liked her. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.

Attack on the Pass

Drausus quietly strolled off to the Suessetani's helm to proceed with take off, with two hooded figures already on board joining him in private. Best not to disturb the captain-and potential co-pilots-of the ship after all. The interior for the rest greatly displayed a 'steampunk' vibe for the Pass Expedition volunteers. Whether it was merely a cosmetic choice, rushed effort, or a secret purpose compared to practical space ship was uncertain. Nonetheless, the crew were confidant it would handle the trip to the moon fairly well.

"Stay seated until landing please," the Jentil's voice came through an intercomn. "It will just be a few minutes to reach the Pass once we take off.

Provided no chaos took place prior, the enchanted blimp would jettison from the ground in a blitz, shaking the interior some before stablizing.
