((I was going to tell you guys what this was inspired by, buuuut I think it'd be more fun for you to find out as you go along or guess, so I won't ;).
This is within the timeline though set on a world other than Ana or Kata. Feel free to use a main or make someone up))

On Ana and Kata there are flashes. Small pinpoints of light appear in an unnatural storm, it whips the trees about fiercely and bangs on dwellers windows, though there are clouds there is no rain to accompany this storm.
The lights appear then flicker out, when they find a sapient living being curious or brave enough to risk being out in this strange weather they follow them, encircle them, and come together until the person is surrounded. At which point they disappear...

... only to reappear in several machines reminiscent of capsules, inside a building, with the sun shining in through the large rectangular windows on either side of the large room. There are controls nearby, as well as papers and furniture that has been knocked over from some sort of skirmish, although there's no blood to be seen. It's dry and hot in this room, and there's one small door leading out-through which someone must have recently left as it is still in the process of swinging shut.

((And the advemture begins! Hope you have fun. I'll not be playing any of my chars though in this one. ;)))

((EDIT: Oh, one thing I forgot to mention-there are about eight of the capsule machines on the wall, they're mainly made up of a tough, transparent substance that looks glass like, except for the top and bottom where the machines parts are, and they each have a wide open door into the room. They're also roughly 7 feet high and three feet wide ;)))

"Well... this is a less then, ah, desirable situation."

Lord Frederic Ashton, stood in a pair of old slippers and a rather worn looking dressing gown, looked around the room and tried to work out what in the gods just happened. He was outside to investigate a strange noise, probably some more of the common rabble wanting him gone no doubt, when a blinding light filled his eyes...and then he was here, in this dreadfully stuffy room. The place wasn't even tidy!
Well frankly this wouldn't do at all. No, Frederic had to find whoever owned this, um, humble abode and whip him into shape! Or at least whip his butler into shape!

From the corner of his eye he catches the sight of a door swinging shut. Messy AND they ignore house guests! He began to follow whoever had just left the room to have a stern talking to them.
"You just don't get good manners like you used to, I mean honestly!"

The Lord would likely arrive with brief astonishment upon entering the adjacent room. For no person seemingly has slipped into this place before Fredrick himself. Such theory becomes dismissed by a mysterious 'clicking' noise, emanating from ancient cardboard box that appears to be on its strand of its life. Whereas, other antiques surrounding it appear to be in better condition than the cellulose construct. Ranging from a classical statue missing its right forearm, to plush toys ranging from multiple decades in relation to fads, he may find some interesting trinkets to pocket in this out-of-place inventory.

The adjacent room also has a door leading out, but this on isn't swinging at all. Whoever had run into the room before the baffled Lord hadn't gone through into the room afterwards yet either.

If they weren't in the clicking box, they were hiding in here, somewhere, watching.

((Let me know the direction in which you are looking whilst you are looking around Jents intriguing setup and I'll react accordingly ;)))

Starting to get into what could only be described as a huff, the Lord returned and was started to see the box. Just sitting there. clicking. He stood there, unsure of what to do. The room was suddenly a lot messier too, which didn't help matters in his mind. Frederic considered the box for a while...

And prodded it.

Luckily for that which was hiding in the room, or perhaps luckily for the Lord, Frederic hadn't spotted it's hiding place yet. It could probably make a break for it now and the human would be none the wiser, but it too was intrigued by just what was going off in this room. It craned it's head to watch intensely as Fred poked the strangely clicking object to see what would happen next.

((Wretched exam week. Only one more day to go and I'll be free, FREE!))

In response, the “clicker” lurched backwards from the Lord's action, and unintentionally caused its alcove to cave in. Following with an unbelievable amount of dust billowing from the destroyed cardboard box, nearly smothering the entire room's occupants perception of sound and light. Par from these startled outcries.

“Kah! Kah! Kah! Kah! Kah!”

It soon began to frantically burrow amongst the the plush toys for whatever protection they might supply to it. Hoping the Lord would leave it in peace and not pester it anymore.

"What th-" Was the most Lord Frederic could manage to say before collapsing in a coughing fit due to the dust filling his lungs. He would have tried to crawl towards an exit but the dust was so thick he could barely see. All he could do was lie there hacking and wheezing in the filthy cloud.

The creature that had also been hiding in the room hissed in surprise as the box disintegrated, something else started screaming and the human went down in the released dust cloud. It had been hiding in a corner on the ceiling so the cloud didn't reach it as quickly, but it still got to it.

No no no this was no good, this human wasn't like the others, they wouldn't have gone down that fast. He probably wouldn't survive a day here. Still...

The creature dropped down from the ceiling and started moving towards where it had last seen Frederic go down. Of course, in dust that covered everything it could barely see, so it soon started kicking the items on the floor. Though it naturally kept it's mouth shut, the dust got into it's nostrils, making it sneeze every so often as it moved across the floor.

Beneath the retreat of cotton and cloth, it began think calmly of its current predicament; despite the fear that radiated in the form of soft “clicking” (like one’s teeth chattering).

First of all, the sand cloud diversion succeeded.

Clutched tightly at its chest, the tarnished bronze coin still possessed tiny swirls of dust, primed for the next pursuer. In contrast, an ornate series of pearls clung around its right arm, from which a series of individual droplets fell down into the small puddle below it.

Shuffling its legs, it burrowed deeper into the mound of plush. For it felt the sharp vibrations created by the large creature moving towards the lord.

As the creature moved across the floor in the sand covered room, it sent plvsh toys flying where it's feet kicked them. As it got closer it felt some dampness on the floor, stopped briefly to consider the water, but continued on anyway.

The creature kept going until it's foot hit the soft flesh of the lords shoulder, where it sneezed again, 5eant down and grabbed the humans shoulder with a long clawed hand. The creature then began to drag the wheezing Frederic in the rough direction of where the door out was.

((Sorry for the minor powerplay, it seemed necessary, hope you don't mind ;)))

*cough* "OW-" *cough* "-CH!"

Frederic could only thrash violently and his wheezing, dusty body was dragged along the floor. His already grubby dressing gown was downright filthy at this point, and he felt a battered slipper fly off in a random direction.

"UN-" *splutter* "UNHAND ME-E-E!" *wheeze*

The dust had gotten in his eyes now, but trying to blink it out just got more in. The lord felt like he was about to pass out from the coughing, a welcome relief from the firey burning in his eyes and dry taste in his mouth.

The creature sneezed again as the lord made vocal noises about his pain, but continued dragging him regardless.
Even when he demanded to be let go, it didn't stop-but it did increase it's grip and speed. Just as Frederic felt like he was about to pass out there was a sharp thud as it hit a button on the wall on the inside of the room, then hauled itself and the wheezing human through the door, into air fresher than the air they'd just left. The creature dropped the human roughly on the floor and promptly entered a sneezing fit to get the dust out of it's nostrils.

Behind them, an alarm sounded, triggered by what the creature had pressed. A robotic human voice stated "Warning, atmoshere ventilation has been engaged. All personnel evacuate the room Vacuum occurring in T minus two minutes" the voice spoke in Common, repeating itself as it counted down the remaining seconds and minutes.

If the lord managed to get enough sand out of his eyes to get a look at the creature, he'd find it stood about 6 feet tall, had shiny black skin, a long tail with a nasty looking barb on the end and hands that had long claws attached. It also had what appeared to be pairs of decorative ridges going up it's back. But it's head was strangest of all-it was long and curved down, it didn't appear to have any eyes either, and it's mouth was a straight slit at the front of the curved skull.

((Bit earlier reveal than I intended, but eh, why not? Enjoy ;)))

((Game over man, game over? :P))

Frederic gave one last splutter before turning towards the creature, and slipped as his hand attempted to grab a slick, slimy arm. He stared up at the creature that had dragged him into this room, the dust finally leaving his eyes and was frozen to the spot by the horrific creatures visage.

Frederic screamed a final, blood curdling scream.

The creaature just stared at the lord and his screaming, before opening it's own slit of a mouth to bare nasty looking teeth at the human, then opening them to make a trumpeting protest at the lords loud noise. He raised a clawed hand deliberately, in order to bring it down and clamp it around the pesky humans mouth.

((Well... Not yet :P))
