Once the creature that had been reborn from the cocoon came through the vent, she gave a cursory glance to both the violet woman as she went, not knowing what or if she should be feeling about them.

The creature was replaced as she moved further in by the flash, making a regular looking Swix stand there. This one though had extremely pale skin, a pair of elongated fangs and red flecks in her eyes.

?Oh, look at all this stuff!" she exclaimed in delight, moving further in.

Munx shivered as she pressed on. Confused, she looked from the feet up, realizing the status swipe to her body. "Thisss is beyond dreadful," her stiff jaws having difficulty speaking at the recent misfortune. The 'Shift' fluxed the sorceress's body to a morbid form: skin dark as the earth, tattered linen bandages wrapped her skin retaining a hint of their former violet dye.

Seeing she might need assistance, Munx wheezed a small wisp of vapor from her dry mouth to an open palm. Staring at it, she carefully tossed the arcane mist behind her shoulder. The gaseous being drifted back to the befallen rodent, attempting to reanimate the creature with new life.

The ethereal mist soon enough saturated the bones, fading away as if drawn within. With a click, then clank, soon they began to vibrate and the foot of the skeletal rodent stepped off it's pedestal. Soon the frightening figure was fully free, the sockets of it's skull full with a burning violet flame. It marched down the hall towards it's equally undead master, sparks of purple magic occasionally jumping between the bones.

The new exhibit the mummy and vampire had found themselves in was fittingly themed like an ancient tomb, with dusty yellow brick making up the walls. Faux glyphs covered these bricks, though on one wall was a thick section of rock clearly cut to come away from the rest.

"Explorers of the tomb! Can you order up the points to solve the puzzle and open the secret passage?"

Under that was a long rectangular stretch of missing rock. In the glass cases around the room seemed to be panels you could replace the void with, surrounded by other ancient bits of loot like coins, weapon points, and pottery. It was apparently intended to be an extremely hands on exhibit.

The panels you find all had glyphs on them, (♵,☉,☀,⌂, or ✧) but the order they were supposed to be slotted might be harder to figure out.

"Yeeessss...?" Came a rattle from behind the violet mummy, as her skeletal thrall had arrived. The sound seemed to have been produced by the clicking of bones and screaming afternotes of souls rather than any sort of mouth, and the terrible monster faced her expectantly with it's jaw wide open.

New area effect: Characters don't "shift" while in the exhibit!

New area effect: Solve the puzzle to proceed!

The mummy examined the two that accompanied her in the exhibit. Clattering and sparking, Munx's new thrall welcomed its mistress, awaiting further commands. Suppose one could have spent more in the decor department, but her frigid body reminded her that she had to focus on what is at hand.

That other one; however, seemed too cheerful to Munx. The group's deathly attire indicated to her this replacement was likely an undead creature used to chasing mortals for a living. At least her stagnant blood would prove bitter to the other Swix. About those glyphs...

Gingerly waving across the various symbols, she recollected the possible meanings to the etched slabs. '☉' and '☀' are often assumed connected to sun: representing masculinity, sulfur, and ideally gold. With that said, '✧' possibly may be the mercury/silver component to the pair. Yet if this is true, what of salt?

Interpreting her own reasoning, '♵' could stand in place for that quality, and to extension '⌂.' Or the pentagon stood for a end result of the union? Facing the group, Munx retold her words back to the fellow wretched beings for cross-analysis.

"I really have absolutely no idea" vampiric Swix told Munx and the skeletal rodent cheerfully "I'm not exactly an old vampire.... or a true vampire for that matter. But maybe it's not that complicated? Maybe that rectangular is meant to be the symbol for the doorway?" Swix walked over to the corresponding slab, to examine the area around it. If it was that complicated, she and her partner would be no help at all.

Glossing over the symbols again, she adjusts the the slabs into a configuration: ☉, ✧, ☀, ⌂, ♵. "Not that old? Then by that notion, I'm perhaps the eldest in the room?" Munx mentioned. "But that is but a trivial matter, even the youth have their unique insight."

"Say if it is meant to mean a door, wouldn't it make sense if you punch in the combination lock before you attempt to open it?"

Uh oh...

The necromancer might have put the tiles in an order, but it clearly wasn't the order the exhibit wanted. There was a rumble throughout the tomb... then with a crash a seemingly endless onslaught of sand poured forth from select ceiling tiles.

Since this was clearly a fun puzzle for kids, this lethal trap must have been a side effect from another universe. Either way, it was now putting you in danger of being seriously entombed if you didn't get the right order fast!

Munx gawked at the silt surge ramming into the tomb, annoyed at the coincidental intrusion. She then oriented the tiles in a new reconfiguration, ☀, ☉, ✧, ⌂, ♵. Just because their undead, doesn't mean it be enjoyable being trapped in a tomb with these two forever.

Swix sighed, watching the influx of sand into the room. Being what she was, being trapped under sand with no access to blood would be most unpleasant for the three of them. "There's got to be some clues somewhere" she muttered to herself, moving once again to examine the area around them.

The sand continues to pour in - clearly that wasn't right either. The sand starts to build up, spreading out from large mounds that are being pushed into the rest of the room by the never ending flow.

((Who knows, DP, who knows...))

This was leading the group nowhere. Between the vampire's frantic search for clues and the knowledge-base of the mage, there seemed to be no immediate answer to their perplexing puzzle. Stumped, Munx sorted them to ⌂, ☀, ☉, ✧, ♵, hoping something might give. That is, besides the rest of the ceiling.
