Mina inwardly facepalmed at everyone running after her. There was no need for them all to pile in. It was one demon. She was experienced with this.... Well, then again this thing was huge. It must have had to stoop to get out of that door. It's horns were longer even than its goatlike head, curved sharply. Its hands reached the floor in front of its body in a way reminiscent of how cavemen were once thought to have been. Slightly stooped, its knuckles dragged on the floor attached to its massive forelimbs. And the thing was on fire. Everything around it was on fire. Even its eyes were on fire. This monster rivalled her Dragon forms size, and it roared at her like a wild beast, throwing molten flame everywhere. Did she mention the inside of its mouth and its fangs were also on fire?

Mina batted a fireball out of the way expertly before it hit her with her Astral Sword. "What are you doing here?!" She half yelled, half spoke in total concern. It was certainly going to be incredibly hard for anyone else to touch the thing, considering all the fire that surrounded it

"What are you doing here?!"

It should have been evident the more experienced fighters among the group would charge in for battle. That is what the Zduhać spirit theorized. Though, he did agree on Mina's point to himself. This fiery demon would not be an easy challenge... His own astral projection was significantly smaller in comparison after all. But Devon had a trick up his sleeve.

Taking advantage to the Madness of Knowledge affecting him and everyone else, the blue ghostly dragon went to shift gears in its exposure. Devon went to broadcast his own tune to amplify those who dared to quarrel with the fire demon. His own aura would become dominant over the wild madness in the area, enhancing their thoughts and inner strengths.

Tox responded to Tom's callout by suddenly growing scales along her body and a wide pair of wings. She tackled him and wrapped around him before flapping ehr wings. Aww, hell no. You are absolutely not cut out for that. Gonna dump him onto the boat and fly back.

"I am here to help you Mina. That much should be obvious." Senka sweat from the heat this this was throwing off. "Please allow me to assist you. You can scold me for being a normal human after!"

This thing was huge. Bigger even, than Mina's Dragon form. Still though, Senka had one idea before she threw in the towel.

She ran alongside the creature's foot, holding her blade out as she attempted to drag it through the licking flames of the beast. Either she would sever it, or her sharp attack would throw the massive creature off balance so ground forces could wail on it.

Mina nodded. "Fine. This is not going to be easy" the Dragon Knight said, batting yet another volley of fireballs away. She felt the Zduhacs presence there and saw it, the pounding of the Madness of Knowledge on her mental barriers suddenly turned, becoming soothing. She could think clearly now. Much better.

As Senkas sword swept into the beasts leg it roared and white hot blood that spurted and ran like lava-was in fact as hot as lava-spurted out of the wound and covered the ground by it. Flames licked at Senkas hand and arms as they moved through.

Mina breathed and then leapt over the massive hand on her side that tried to sweep her. Ah...

Rather than flopping over, the being just rested its bodyweight on Senkas side on its already close to the ground left arm.... Before seemingly vomiting molten lava from its snout directed at them.

However that gave Mina an idea, and she went to plow through its other leg.

Quite taxed at managing the reorganized madness wavelength for the team, he discovered that Senka stood in the path of a flaming burst of doom. This would not do. Straining himself under massive mental calculations, the Zduhać flung his own attack in the ring. His affinity for weather drew upon the dark storm clouds above, soaked in Knowledge. He summoned a powerful gust of chilled air to hopefully divert the path of the lava stream from hitting the Knight.

"Thanks for the save Devon!" Senka roared toward her companion, hoping he could hear her over the sound of churning lava freezing in the air. That was almost too close. It would have been a very roasted Senka.

She pushed the thought from her mind. No time to dwell on that now... though, she was starting to get warm. The fire demon had stumbled, falling down to one arm when her attack on his foot left him off balance. Capitalizing on that, she performed a similar attack on his hand now that it was down...

... and then suddenly ran away.

"Getting too hot! Have to break off for a minute!"

"Don't take too long!" Mina called back, as the being roared again and more molten lava like blood pooled from its massive hand where Senka had just been. Mina used the boost in speed and strength provided by Devon to slice through the hand on her side too, far quicker than the creature could react all four of its limbs now sported painful slashes and it finally, properly stumbled forwards to hit the floor.

Or it, would if the Dragon Knight wasn't there already in front of it, before dashing and launching herself straight up at the tings face. She wasn't intending to kill it-no, there had to be some sort of reason buried here. Dragon Knights foot and monsters snout hit with a clang that reverberated before it fell all the way over backwards onto its back. Knocked out.

There was no way she'd have been able to do that without the Zduhacs help, and she fell to one knee on the ground from a great height before it'd even stopped falling over.

"I think that should stop it for a while"

Also she was currently on fire. Her armour and sword were smoldering with the flames, yet Mina didn't seem to notice this. How strange.

The symphony of madness nearly reached its end. A Zduhać past his prime could only manage so much with all these youngsters, feeling the consciousness strangling tension. Not more fire. Devon caught a glimpse of the Dragon Knights' leader enshrouded in fire. His mind wasn't able to decipher if the lingering flames were an effect or ability from her, or an attack by the fire demon. Better safe than sorry.

Shimmering in air, the blue draconic being wrenched at the inner threads of the Wyrd storm. His affinity for weather benefited him greatly for this last strike. Devon violently twisted the fearsome clouds, unleashing a massive downpour of enchanted rain in the direction of the fire demon. It was a fiercely controlled monsoon, intended to thoroughly soak the enemy until it was extinguished... "Gah," the spirit bleated, slowly falling back to the ground. He managed to divert some of the rain water in Mina's direction, with far less force to smolder the fire on herself.

The fire demon smouldered and went out after the monsoon hit it, and so did Mina. The Dragon Knight gasped slightly after the sudden cold downpour-but at peast her fire was out now thanks to the Zduhac. Mina then frowned as a strange sight befell her eyes-the Fire Demon went ashen, then transparent, then disintegrated into a few handfuls of powder that then moved through the air with great speed back through the pteviously sealed door. Odd.

Mina shook her head, shook off the water and then went to approach Senka. "Are you ok?" She asked, genuinely.

Devon's astral form languished on the icy ground. That took a lot out of him... And needed a bit to rest before he could move again. Seems like one of the Dragon Knight students moved his body onto the body. Good, that it was safe. Bad, that now he has to wait.

Tom was finally dropped off onto the ship, where he was promptly grabbed by two of the guards. Under the protections from the ship and further away from the source, he had regained a bit of himself, and didn't resist.

Tom ::exhausted:: Thanks Tox....I don't know what came over me....but if this thing has a brig - that might be the safest place to keep me.

Tox landed beside him and sighed, drawing him into her own shield. Yeah, she'll be digging through her memories and such, as he's inside the shields meant to keep her in, but it's probably a far sight better, as she's at least able to mount some resistance herself, especially in this more protected space. She might be able to keep it all out while she rests and recovers.

"See? I didn't take too long did I?" Senka returned to the group, walking up triumphantly to see Mina had capitalized on her plan of knocking the demon down. She somehow seemed warm now in the cold weather, as if the fight against the fire demon was exactly what she needed. Her sword on the other hand was glowing a bright orange from being inside the creature, and didn't show any signs of cooling down soon.

She tried to avoid Devon's monsoon as best she could. The idea of getting soaking wet then marching through cold wastes didn't seem very appealing to her. Her sword hissed with each drop to hit it.

"Yes? Why? is something wrong?" Senka replied to Mina, trying to stay dry.

"Are they supposed to do that-?" She asked, watching the demon crumble away, then turn to sentient smoke, then move instinctively into the cave. That seemed like a warning sign for sure.
